The texts on The Model Year are the publication's own. Short quotations with a link to the material they came from are welcome and need no permission. Republishing a material in full, or a substantial part of one, needs permission — ask.

Quoted documents

Passages quoted from regulators, manufacturers, standards and rating bodies belong to those bodies and are reproduced here to report what they say, with the source named and linked in every case.

Pictures

Pictures are found documentary photographs and belong to whoever made them. Each carries a credit line naming its source and linking the page it came from; the rights stay with the rights holder, and this publication claims none of them. If you hold the rights to a picture used here and want it removed or credited differently, write and it will be handled.

Videos

A video shown on a material belongs to the channel that published it and plays from YouTube under YouTube's terms; this publication hosts nothing of it but a still picture and a link. Videos are shown only where their owner allows them to be embedded. If you own a recording shown here and would rather it were not, write and it will be removed.

Accuracy

Every material states what its sources said on the date it names. Rules change, prices change, and a manufacturer may revise its own figures; check the source before acting on anything here. The publication is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of its materials.
